Let's Talk Life Together

January 14, 2018  •  2 Comments

Life.. it's never what we thought it was going to be.  Good times and bad times; they all seem to come and go.  Through it all there's one constant: that we're all here for a purpose.  It may take a lifetime to understand what that purpose is, however.  Myself, I have obsessed over what that is often wasting so much time trying to find 'what I am supposed to do with my life' when it was right in front of me the whole time.

What I've found is that purpose will take care of itself and it's the little things that make a difference; both for good and bad.  The words of encouragement at just the right time, the harsh words at just the wrong time, the acts of kindness to a stranger, and the acts of rudeness to a stranger - all have an equal and opposite effect. We all have had them happen to us and from us.  Just the knowledge of how these little gestures change the course of our lives and others is the beginning to making them for the good and fulfilling our purpose.

Today, I decided to not walk this messy journey alone.  Let's share this walk together.  I'd like to do this using one of my greatest joys; photography.  The photo today was taken outside of McKinney off a country road.  It speaks loudly to me that we can be sitting comfortably when, all around us, life is messy.  It's covered with weeds and old pieces of our past.  Yet, there's light behind us and in front that will shine on these past pains, failures, and losses to bring hope.  That hope will come when we least expect it.  Hope that can change us and all those around us for the good.  Hope that only can come from the Maker of us all.  He is forever faithful.

I'll be posting often and am looking forward to sharing my heart with you all!

Blessings my friends!

Brad
